Why this and why now?

This Substack will start by exploring in detail:

• How we got to the situation where hundreds of thousands of dogs are suffering in concentration camp-like shelters across Eastern Europe, whilst many cities’ streets are still getting filled with a growing population of stray dogs, attacking and even killing people, causing a vigilante backlash and cruel killings. All of this is in accordance with enshrined laws that were lobbied by animal welfare groups.

• The wider non-obvious ramifications of this .

• What can and should be done to stop it.
  
  As a group of scientists, activists, shelter and charity owners in the animal welfare space we are witnessing ineffective policy becoming mainstream.

We welcome constructive criticism from those who really took the time to look into the subject .
